Vapor Cleaning Apparatus
In trace analysis there is often the need for a ideal pre-treatment of PTFE, quartz and glass lab ware. The unavoidable failure source of unclean surfaces has to be reduced to a minimum. The cleaning of lab ware in the vapor phase is showing good results.
Inside the Vapor Cleaning Apparatus the cleaning liquid (nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and water) is being refluxed at atmospheric pressure. The internal surfaces of the lab ware flasks are exposed to the pure vapor phase and thereby thoroughly cleaned.
The layout of the apparatus allows multiple containers being cleaned simultaneously. On the picture is an example of 24 volumetric flasks of 100ml. To improve results we recommend PNV standard joints with its clear surface on with no residues adhere.
In order to configure the layout accordingly to the need of the customer the glass plate is also available in customized editions. Not used nozzles can be closed. Nozzles are available in glass or quartz.
The apparatus holds app. 750ml of cleaning liquid. Dimension over all is heigth =125cm, width = 36cm, depth = 44cm.
The control unit supervises the correct working and the flow of the cooling water. This allows to run the Vapor Cleaning Apparatus on predetermined times without the need of personnel being there.
